Erin is a local realtor who needed a few updated headshots for her marketing and branding. So we met up at a beautiful home and did some new portraits and some content images – it was a great way to showcase being a realtor by photographing in a home. I love clients who take their projects outside the box, that’s what we go for!
Jenn came to me about a month ago wanting some new lifestyle headshots. With the kind of weather we have at this time of year, things are a bit hit or miss. Since she had some flexibility in her schedule we were able to pick a perfect overcast day out in Fort Langley. Albeit a bit chilly as December tends to be, I had a great time getting to know her and about her work. I always like to recommend this area for portraits as there’s a ton of variety, enough room to move around and fits the personalities of most of my clients. Here’s some of my favourites from her session!
Earlier this year I met up with Tanveer – an up and coming realtor – out at Fishtrap Creek in Abbotsford. This is one of my favourite locations in Abby since it has a lot of variety! Including some covered areas in case of rain. Luckily we stayed *mostly* dry on this day and made sure that he had some great new professional headshots.
Recently we went out to Chilliwack to photograph a hobby farm which a beautiful house. Check out the property on Bruce Fournier’s website here. Some of our photos are showcased below.
Back in January I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and Victoria for a couples session here in Langley. You may recognize Paul as he’s a former BC Lion! But now they are moving on to other ventures including opening an Oxygen Yoga & Fitness Studio in Kamloops. I’m super excited for them and can’t wait to check it out with all the time I usually spend up in the area!
Anyway, Victoria got in contact with me to photograph a few content images showcasing mostly her and her daughter doing some outdoor Yoga for marketing their studio. We also snuck in a few promo shots with Paul’s decked out jeep and their fancy new apparel! Victoria & her daughter were a blast to hang out with and watch get into some crazy Yoga and Acrobatic positions. Check out some of my favourites and DEFINITELY check out Oxygen Yoga & Fitness if you’re in the Kamloops area.
Botanus is a mail order bulb, perennial and other flower type products company. I met these amazing owners of the company a few years ago when I was working for another local flower bulb provider as a graphic designer/web master. I had done headshots for these ladies 2 years ago (on the exact date by chance) and it was time for them to get a refresh. We met up out in Fort Langley – probably my favourite place for doing lifestyle headshots – and had a great mild but bright afternoon session. Not too sunny, no rain and perfect temperature. These three are easy to get lost in an hour with and I’m always happy just to see them. Even happier to photograph as I think they embody the perfect reason to have these longer sessions – the personality shines through!
Reenie is one of those people that you meet and instantly you feel welcomed. I originally connected with her through Facebook but met her in person while attending my first class at her fitness studio – Mysfit Fitness – in Langley. My big mistake was taking a class that was a TON of fun (hoop) but a bit out of my physical comfort zone at the time, so unfortunately I didn’t end up going back until a little bit later on… but I kept in touch with Reenie along the ways. Then I headed back in December of last year to do a Burlesque class which was amazing and from then on I knew for sure this place was different. Reenie and her staff treat everyone like family, where Reenie particularly aims to know every single one of the “students” that walk through the door. It isn’t your typical fitness studio – it’s fun-ness. Fitness that’s fun but you’re still going to get that killer workout, a bunch of laughs and a whole lot of chatter. All mixed in a studio painted purple (my favourite).
So, fast forward and Reenie needed some new content images for her marketing plus some new headshots so we got together to do some casual kitchen shots and of course some awesome new portraits. We’ll be working together quite a bit as time goes on to create her a vast collection of content images, so expect to see more. For now, our initial session and my favourites.
Be sure to go visit her and learn more about her business at Mysfit Fitness.
One of my favourite things about photographing headshots is the face paced environment of it. Sometimes you plan for sessions months, even over a year in advance (if it’s weddings) and then other times you get an email day of and a couple hours later you’re doing head shots! Luckily that was the case with Tyson. I got a message from him looking for some new headshots since he had just got his realtor license and needed some professional photos. With the off and on weather and a slight break in the schedule we managed to fit in a session that afternoon and speaking of weather, it rained the whole way out to Fort Langley and then we did the headshots with no rain and then as I was driving away it started raining again, phew!
Here are a few of my favourites from the quick headshot session.
Sheri is an accountant out in Chilliwack and wanted to get some new headshots done. I love when professionals such as Sheri who have jobs that are seen as a little corporate or stuffy break outside the bubble and get some lifestyle portraits done! It’s really a huge benefit to your business in standing out and being approachable.
After a few reschedules due to nasty weather, we finally managed to meet up last week for a perfect day at Cultus Lake. Check out some of my favourites from her session.
